Iga Lis is a Polish film director and a History graduate of the London School of Economics. Co-founder of the social initiatives Olśnienie and Przebudzenie, aimed at mobilizing voter turnout among the Polish youth. Her films have been presented at festivals such as Palm Springs ShortFest, Camerimage, San Francisco Film Festival Doc Stories, London Short Film Festival, Warsaw Film Festival, and Millennium Docs Against Gravity.
Her feature-length documentary debut, The Queen and the Smokehouse, opened the 65th Krakow Film Festival before its nationwide theatrical release.
